Essie Ridge Filler review.

I recently had a really bad experience with Acrylic nail extensions, here's what happened... At the end of Sep/ Beginning of Oct (I can't remember haha.) I decided to get some glam new nails! I went ahead to where my boyfriends sister recommended as she always has great looking nails and having never had them done professionally before I was really excited! I chose the colour I wanted and the length and so they lady started on my nails, that's when the electric nail file came out, it looked quite scary and not something that I would ever use on my nails that's for sure (think mini sandpapering machine but made from metal) But me being quite the introvert I kept quiet, what did I know anyway? This was my first time and I just went with it. When she'd finished I thought looked great albeit a little sore from the filing, I loved them and felt super girly!

They stayed put for about a month, I was happy as I could change the colour of the polish with out ruining my new nails, I was a happy girly! That's until one broke, I didn't mind too much as they had been on ages and it was about time I let my natural nails breathe! As I tried to soak them off with pure acetone (which is supposed to work btw) They wouldn't budge, I tried and tried and eventually got them off bit by bit and with each bit peeled a bit of my own nail... I was horrified, they looked awful, I immediately regretted getting acrylics and will never have them done again (I'll stick to doing them myself)
This is how they look now after 2 months! :(

Lets get to the actual review! I spotted this Essie Ridge Filler (pictured below) today and just had to give it a try, how much worse could it get?

I couldn't wait to get stuck in and give a bash, so as soon as I got home I just had to put it to the test!

This is after one coat.

This is two coats. I was so happy with the results after two coats it didn't fill every little ridge but they definitely look a lot better!

This with some nail polish over the top I chose Barry M matte finish in the burgundy colour (it's not completely dry in the picture that's why it looks shiny!)

Overall I am pretty happy with my purchase, it is definitely a product I am going to
be using every time I re-do my nails! Thanks Essie you beautiful brand!
Thanks for reading.
Bye Lovelies!
Natasha.
