Hospital at Christmas.

So as the title suggests I've been in hospital over Christmas, not because I'm ill, but because my beautiful little girl is... I'm not going to go in to any more detail as I have to keep something's private! But let's just say she's on the mend!
I've been here since the 23rd and we're still here now, I'm writing this from our room!
But I wanted to say this is why I haven't posted in the last few days. I have a few posts coming up that I'm excited about too so keep reading and maybe gimme a little follow? (Hint hint)
Anyway, whilst being here worried, stressed and pretty much bored out of my tree on Boxing Day I made a quick little venture in to town to Lush... And Primark of course! I came away with quite a haul from Lush and sorry I'm not sorry! :)
Here's a couple of sneak previews and watch out for the haul tomorrow!
My big bag of Lush swag!

Thanks for reading,
Bye Lovelies.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Review.

Okay so first things first I'm sorry about it being a rather late post I have been ridiculously busy the last few days, I have one poorly baby at the moment! :(
But on with the review, I said in my previous post that I had a foundation review coming up and here it is!! I finally have the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation! Woop! My shade is 2N1 Desert Beige.

I have heard so many good things about this product so I could not wait to try it and I must say it did not disappoint.

So you get 30ml of product in a nice little bottle the only downside being that you have to pour it out as there is no pump, so it can be wasted easily. But I can bypass that :') This shade is perfect for me and there is a mahoosive selection of colours! I'd say you are pretty unlucky if can't find your shade.
I've been testing this out for a couple of days now and I think I'm in love!
This is what it looks like on my hand (sorry for the bad quality photo oops)

I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush (my favourite!) to apply this foundation and it goes on so smooth and is just flawless, I normally use Mac Pro Longwear but this blows it out of the water completely, I also have not needed to apply concealer whilst using this foundation at all! and I have pretty bad dark circles! Ha.

I'd had my make up on about 5 hours in this pic!

As you can see it lasts perfectly, and when it's applied right, for example... Not crossing that line between full coverage and cake face! It is so light on the face and doesn't transfer at all.
Overall this is a amazing foundation and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a full coverage, long lasting foundation. Buy it. Buy it. Buy it.

Essie Ridge Filler review.

I recently had a really bad experience with Acrylic nail extensions, here's what happened... At the end of Sep/ Beginning of Oct (I can't remember haha.) I decided to get some glam new nails! I went ahead to where my boyfriends sister recommended as she always has great looking nails and having never had them done professionally before I was really excited! I chose the colour I wanted and the length and so they lady started on my nails, that's when the electric nail file came out, it looked quite scary and not something that I would ever use on my nails that's for sure (think mini sandpapering machine but made from metal) But me being quite the introvert I kept quiet, what did I know anyway? This was my first time and I just went with it. When she'd finished I thought looked great albeit a little sore from the filing, I loved them and felt super girly!

They stayed put for about a month, I was happy as I could change the colour of the polish with out ruining my new nails, I was a happy girly! That's until one broke, I didn't mind too much as they had been on ages and it was about time I let my natural nails breathe! As I tried to soak them off with pure acetone (which is supposed to work btw) They wouldn't budge, I tried and tried and eventually got them off bit by bit and with each bit peeled a bit of my own nail... I was horrified, they looked awful, I immediately regretted getting acrylics and will never have them done again (I'll stick to doing them myself)
This is how they look now after 2 months! :(

Lets get to the actual review! I spotted this Essie Ridge Filler (pictured below) today and just had to give it a try, how much worse could it get?

I couldn't wait to get stuck in and give a bash, so as soon as I got home I just had to put it to the test!

This is after one coat.

This is two coats. I was so happy with the results after two coats it didn't fill every little ridge but they definitely look a lot better!

This with some nail polish over the top I chose Barry M matte finish in the burgundy colour (it's not completely dry in the picture that's why it looks shiny!)

Overall I am pretty happy with my purchase, it is definitely a product I am going to
be using every time I re-do my nails! Thanks Essie you beautiful brand!

My Top 10 Lipsticks!

Hiya, this is just a simple list, with pictures and swatches of my top 10 favourite lipsticks. Lipstick is by far my most favourite cosmetic product and you may notice I favour bright lipsticks especially red! I know not everyone likes bright lips but this is just in my opinion, also please excuse my hair I let it air dry :'). I hope you enjoy reading!

1. Topshop- Macaroon

I'm starting with the most nudey shade in my favourites and most recent lipstick purchase. This is a gorgeous nude (but pink enough to notice) pink, it is so easy to wear on an everyday basis and I believe it would suit most skin tones. This is just such a pretty pink and the name of this one is just yummy!

2.Topshop- Brighton Rock

This was my first ever purchase from the Topshop make up range and you can see the packaging hasn't worn very well! But this is my go to bright pink, I don't wear pink very often but when I do I go for this one! It's super girly and I just love it!

Barry M-  145 Punky Pink

Moving on to a more purply pink... I'm not quite sure how to describe this colour I think the name does better than I can it's just a very punky pink! I love this I feel so confident when I wear this lipstick, it's a great colour for absolutely any skin tone. The best Barry M lip paint imo!

Mac- Up The Amp

Up The Amp is very popular shade in the youtube/blogging world, and I must admit it does look quite scary in the tube, it is a true purple but it is a beautiful colour! I can't emphasise enough how wearable this lipstick is you just have to give it a chance. I dare you!

Revlon- Strawberry Suede

This is my summer red! It's a lovely light orange-toned red which for a lover of bright lipsticks, is a staple for summer time. I love that this lipstick is a matte finish and the durability of this lipstick is fantastic, it can be slightly drying but that's easily solved with an application of my Burts Bees pomegranate lip balm beforehand.

Mac- Morange

This is my favourite orange lipstick it has red undertones which I think make it so easy to get away with any time of year even if I do find any excuse in the book to wear a bright lipstick! This is just an absolutely stunning colour. I love it. I love it. I love it. :)

Louise Gray for Topshop- Mexican Wave

This is a fantastic dupe for Mac- Morange, it is a slightly darker shade and a teeny bit brighter but on the lips is almost identical. The only downside is that I have a feeling this was limited edition? I could be wrong but I haven't seen it since I bought it, so I am sooo glad I did! :)

Rimmel Apocolips- Eclipse

Okay so technically this is not a lipstick it's a lip lacquer but hey it does the same job right? :'). This is a really pretty plumy-red and is a fabulous Autumn/Winter shade, it is one of my most favourite 'vampy' colours. I love the Apocolips collection but this one is the best imo.

Mac- Russian Red

Russian red is most favourite true red and my favourite lipstick out of all of them is the one I wear the most! This is classic 50's style red I love it with a just slick of black eyeliner. What more can I say? It's amazing!

Collection- Revenge

This is my other favourite 'vampy' shade, it is a very dark burgundy/wine red colour and is awsome for A/W. The formulation of this lipstick is not the best and it needs re-applying every couple of hours but that doesn't subtract from how beautiful the colour is (not for me anyway).

I put in a swatch of all of them together so you can see the differences between them!

Hope you liked this post and it was helpful in some way or just downright interesting (errrm...)
