Phew!

Hiya guys, so if you read my blog you'll know I haven't posted in a while :( I been taking a much needed break and spending some quality time with my little girl.
I will be up and running again soon I promise!
I've been going through a bit of a rough patch recently and just wanted to completely relax with any worrying and unfortunately it meant to cut out my blog/YouTube for a little while but, and here's the best bit, I'll be back next week with my next 2 blog posts and YouTube videos all at once!

Current Favourites!

I have quite a few favourite beauty products at the moment, some I've had for a while and some relatively new!
I'm goning to start  off with nail polishes. I have four firm favourites that I have been alternating between this past few months.

Candy Apple: This is my favourite bold, bright red as you can see in the picture I've used over half the bottle! I love the Maybelline Colour Show nail polishes as they are really good quality and so cheap I think they retail at around £2.99 each!

Maybelline Color Show- Mauve Kiss: I have never been one for a nude, beige nail polish and I've always refrained from buying any as I just didn't think I could pull it off. Then I saw this one, I fell in love with it! It's just the most beautiful colour, and I think it would suit any skin tone. Again you can get this for about £2.99.

Revlon Top Speed- Vintage: This dark raspberry pink has been my Autmn/Winter nail polish it's a gorgeous vampy pink colour it looks a lot darker on than in the bottle but I love it! Best of all I got this at the bargain price of £1 from Poundland!

China Glaze- For Audrey: Last but most certainly not least, this in actual fact is my most favourite nail polish! Tiffany blue is on par with turquoise as being my favourite colour in general so this a dream for me and being China Glaze you can't really go wrong their polishes are absolutely divine! I believe this retails for £6-£7 roughly.

Moving on to my favourite concealers this is going to come as no surprise but my all time favourite concealer(s) is a combination of Mac Studio Finish- NC20 and Collection Lasting perfection- Fair 1. I use my studio finish on the inner corners of my eye to brighten them up and if I'm having a 'dark circles day' I use it all round my eye, I use the collection one on any blemishes and also under my eyes. I can honestly say I have never found any other concealers that do the job quite like this little duo! I hazard a guess at £15 for the Mac and £4.95 for the Collection? I don't really know :')

I have been using this Mac Pro Longwear Foundation- NC20 on and off for a couple of months and as you probably already know if you have read my blog before you'd know my all time favourite foundation is the Estee Lauder Double Wear, but lately I've been loving this one it doesn't feel quite as heavy as the Estee Lauder one and still has great coverage! It doesn't last on my skin as long as the other but that doesn't bother me that much. This costs £23.50 I believe.

MUA Mosaic Bronzer- Natural Glow Shade 1 ( left): I bought this on a whim really along with a blusher (more info on that later) but this is a truly great bronzer! I have been wanting to buy the NARS Laugna Bronzer for ages now but I keep putting it off as I keep buying cheaper alternatives and tell myself I that I have to try them out for a while before I pay all that money for Laguna. This one turned out to be a staple in my make up collection after buying this a month ago, I've used it almost every day! This was about £2.50 (don't quote me on that one!)
Mac Mineralized Skinfinish- Lightscapade (middle): Now this is something I use literally everyday, I know some people don't really see the big deal with this one but I love it, I wear a light dusting on my cheek bones for an everyday look and what I find great about it is that you can layer it up for more of a night time look. I think this was £18-£20.
Dainty Doll Eyeshadow Base- 001 Frankie Girl (right): I have had this a while but have only recently started using it regularly, I normally use the Urban Decay Primer Potion but a few months back I ran out and got this one in it's place, in all honesty I wasn't sure about this at first I thought it was a bit too solid and quite hard to blend in but when you get used to it, it is a really great base for eyeshadow, mine doesn't budge! This cost me £1.50 from www.fragrancedirect.co.uk/ ‎

MUA Blush- Candyfloss: I'm not really a pink blusher fan as I find it really hard to find the right shade I usually stick to peachy toned ones, but this one stood out to me and I though for £2 I can really complain and it's great! I'm converted to pink blusher, this goes on quite sheer but if you want a bolder colour you can build it up and it's just the perfect dusky pink colour it would suit anyone!

Lastly I have two lip products and a make up brush...
Rimmel Kate- 113 Nude: This is the perfect nude for me it's a matte finish but it doesn't dry my lips out at all! I found this in the mini sale section in boots for some unbeknown reason it didn't have the lid but the lipstick itself didn't have a mark on it and it was just sitting there for £1! (who needs lids haha!)
EcoTools Concealer Brush: I got this brush in Tesco whilst doing a little food shop (random I know!) but this little gem was staring me in the face and I couldn't leave it behind, you see I've been wanting a brush specifically for concealer for a while now but I've never really bothered to look, I just happened to be looking in the right place at the right time! I love this little brush it does the job perfectly. This was under £2.

NARS Velvet Gloss Pencil- Baroque: This is the best lip gloss ever I mean apart from the colour being just stunning, the texture of this is amazing and feels lovely on the lips. It doesn't last all that long but I never really expect lip glosses to last all day anyway!
That's it for my current favourites, I hope you enjoyed this little post, I love talking about the things I love! Haha!

P.s. If anyone would like me to do a Valentines Make up/ Outfit blogpost and/or Youtube video, let me know by tomorrow please!! I'm not sure if I should do that or something a little different :)

Get Grabbling!

So I have decided that I love the idea of Grabble! If you haven't heard of it, it's a website in which you can save clothing and other items direct from your favourite online stores inc... ASOS, Topshop, Urban Outfitters, Missguided etc. You also get e-mail alerts if one of the items you've saved has gone on sale! Amazing!
I received an e-mail from etailpr yesterday informing me of a new competition where you can win £750 in ASOS vouchers, I will link below so can go check it out, if you are interested in entering!

Anywayss, this is my capsule style Valentines collection I made earlier today I thought having a few options for different activities because no matter what you've got planned all the items in this are inter-changeable so you could wear a playsuit in the day with some boots and a blazer and then swap the boots for some heels, add a cluch and then you're ready to party! But of course no Valentine's Day look is complete with out some red lipstick!!

I had so much fun making this, what are you waiting for? Go make a Grabble account!

FOTD! Simple nude lips and winged liner.

I wanted something simple this morning so I decided on something that took me approximately 10 minutes!

Step 1- Base Makeup. I started with my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation in Desert Beige as always! I didn't bother priming my face, as I find that for me anyway it's not really necessary with this foundation and I don't believe it makes that much difference. I applied some MAC Studio Finish concealer in NC15 to the inner corner of my eyes and blended it out, I then applied Maybelline Super Stay concealer in light under my eyes and then set my concealer with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 001 Translucent.

Step 2- Eye Brows and Cheeks. For my brows I just used my Maybelline Brow Drama in Medium Brown and to contour (which the flash on my camera doesn't seem to agree with sorry!) I used MUA Mosaic Bronzer in Natural Glow Shade. I then took a MUA Blush in Candyfloss and swept in on the apples of my cheeks. Lastly I brushed a little bit of MAC Mineralize Skin-finish in Lightscapade on the top of my cheekbones to highlight.

Step 3- Eye Make up and Lips. Firstly I took a little bit of Lightscapade in the inner corner of my eyes to open them up a bit, I then used my L'oreal Superliner in Black to create a my winged eyeliner. For my lips I just simply used Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 113. (I think it's just called nude?)

So there it is, I apologise if you think it's boring but I never plan ahead my make up it just is what it is! Oh and don't forget to check out my Youtube channel I will be uploading a new video tonight!!

p.s. Change of plan, turns out my camera didn't record half of my video :( I'm gonna get up extra early tomorrow and re-film it! Dedication right there!

Tattoo!

Hiya guys so yesterday was pretty exciting! I got my first tattoo. I've been wanting to get one since I was 18, well I say one, I mean I want to be covered haha! But I didn't just wanna go and get a random design that I would regret when I'm 40, so I've spent a few years drawing them up and deciding what I wanted and where. I chose to get Skye (my daughter) on my shoulder because she is my world! Being my first tattoo I wanted it to have meaning. Anyway here it is...

I absolutely adore it and it was surprisingly unpainful! Look out for more tattoo updates,

OOTD!

Hiya, this is just going to be a really quick outfit of the day post to accompany my first Youtube video!! (Woo!) The video itself will be uploaded later tonight or possibly tomorrow and I will make another post with a link when I've done it :).

This is just a casual everyday look for me and I'd wear this with my black Dr Martens, but if I were to go for a few drinks or out to dinner with no time to change I could put my black wedge ankle boots and glam it up a bit!
I'm wearing a red vest top from Zara, a black leather-look skater skirt from Primark and a pair of black tights (more than likely from primark too!)
Jewellery: My engagment ring, my pandora braclet, a necklace that cost me £1! from a local shop and three other silver rings that I have had for ages. (I have no idea where they are from)

I hope you like it!

Youtube!

Hello guys, I was thinking about making Youtube videos and I was wondering what you might think? Do you think I should? Would you watch them?
I've wanted to make videos for ages now, I absolutely love watching the beauty related ones, I can spend hours just watching them! But yeah I'm seriously considering it, I am a fairly shy person and a wee bit awkward but I just wanted to know who would be interested and so on...
As always, thanks for reading!

FOTD! Orange Lipstick and Winged Liner.

I've been wanting to do a FOTD/ Make up tutorial since starting this blog and finally I have got round to it! First of all I take my hat off to everyone who does these kinds of posts every other day and some even every day, so much work goes in to making these and it has taken me till now to prepare this post and actually be able to sit and write it! But this is my first attempt so if there's anything that could be improved please let me know... Here goes... :)
So today I decided to go for a usual look for me e.g. bright lipstick and black winged liner. But I did make it a bit more of a full make up look especially for you guys, hope you like it!

I started out with a Becca Primer this one is the Line and Pore Corrector primer, I applied this all over my face. I also used this Burts Bees lip balm as I knew I was going to be using a bright lipstick and this keeps my lips moisturised for ages!

I then used my favourite foundation right now, Estee Lauder Double Wear in shade 2N1 Desert Beige and I applied this with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush starting in the centre of my face and working it out to the rest of my face, I like to blend this foundation extra well as I get so paranoid about it looking cakey haha. I then applied a tiny amount of Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in Light 2 under my eyes to make sure my dark circles were covered as much as they could be! Then I set my make up with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder, I use the translucent one. I did then apply a Dainty Doll eye base in 001 Frankie Girl but I forgot to take a picture of that stage... Oops. With my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush I swept a matte vanilla/cream colour all over my eye lid, I used L'oreal Color Infallible eye shadow in Coconut Shake.

I then took my Deluxe Crease brush (all the brushes used are Real Techniques) and used another L'oreal Color Infallible eye shadow this time in Endless Chocolat, and blended it in to the crease and  outer corner of my eyes. I got my Accent brush and took a small amount of this eye shadow along the lower lash line.

I finished off my eye make up with a flick of my L'oreal Superliner in Black, I kept the liner fairly thin. I used two coats of  my Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara. (I love this mascara so much and it's so cheap!)
For my brows I used this Fashionista Brow kit, well I just used the light brown powder with my brow brush. (I don't really bother with the wax.)

I completed the whole look with a slick of this Topshop lipstick in Mexican Wave! I love this look I feel so confident with this lipstick. I have a thing for all things vintage and this is a fun and bright take on the pin up style make up! I absolutely love doing make up and this has to be my favourite post so far, I hope you all enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing it!
Thanks for reading.

Lush Haul!

As you can tell by the title this is a Lush haul! I visited Lush on boxing day because everyone knows they have a huge sale on!
It was mayhem, completely packed. My worst nightmare! But I powered through and got a few little beauties!
(also I have to say when I bought these I ended up paying full price, I understand because it was soo busy but that does not in any way change how much I love Lush, they were lovely and refunded the amount when I went back to the shop.)

Firstly, I picked up this cheeky little fella! He's a Bombardino Bath Ballistic. Now I didn't know and I feel rather silly but it's inspiration comes from the apres ski drink of the same name. Duh! But anyway this bath time version is made up of Cocoa butter, Vanilla Absolute, Bergamot oil and Sicilian lemon oil! I have tried this one and I don't think it's quite as moisturising as I expected it to be as I thought the cocoa butter would make my skin feel soft but it didn't really do much for me. But this does smell absolutely delicious!
I also grabbed one of these little beauties, it's a 'So White' Bath Ballistic. It smells amazing, it's so fresh and lovely! One of my favourites!
I bought two of these 'Star Light Star Bright' Bath melts, I think they are beautiful albeit extremely messy! They are coated in a silver shimmer which gets everywhere including all over the other lush products (they

had no individual bags left.) Part of the reason they are so messy is that they are bath melts and I imagine they are rather luxurious leaving your skin soft and shimmery ;) The scent of this one is very zesty and refreshing, I love it.

This one I am most excited to try! It's described as a fizzy champagne cocktail fragrance on the Lush website and a few of the ingredients listed are Sweet orange oil, Cognac oil and Lime oil. It is so cute and smells divine!

I did get a few other little bits and bobs but I won't bore you as I have a tendency to babble! But anyway I absolutely love Lush if can't already tell! and I will continue to keep the business running single handedly (I'm kidding, I'm not that bad!)
Thanks for reading,

Christmas!

It has been a bitter-sweet Christmas this year, my baby girl was hospitalized and was discharged the day before her 1st birthday (she is absolutely fine now!). But never the less I have a few things that made our Christmas super special!
I'll start with the presents, everybody loves presents!

I'm not going to talk in great detail about all these items, that would take forever and there is one little surprise that I'm going to talk about the at the end, so I don't want you guys getting bored!
So, this isn't everything I received but these are some of my favourites (a couple of these are gifts from me to me haha!) There's a little 30ml bottle of Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker which I've been wanting to try for a while now and I'm glad I did, it's simply 'Lovely'. I also bought myself a couple of make up items...

I got this pretty little Barry M palette from Superdrug, it's the Smokin' Hot Shadow and Blush Palette!
Unfortunately I lost the two applicators before I had chance to use them. These are really pigmented and the blush is a super pretty shimmery peach...
And lastly I got this China Glaze nail lacquer in 625 For Audrey, which I have wanted for agesss! I was so excited to use this, I absolutely adore it! It's my new number 1 nail polish.

So on to what I received for Christmas, the first one I opened was the little Pandora bag and this is what I saw...

It is perfect! I love this so much, I was never really in to Pandora bracelets but I quite like the leather ones. The blue and white charm is a little hot air balloon, how cute?! and the other one is flowers with jade green stones in the centres and the bracelet itself is just a single strap black one... I haven't taken it off since Christmas (well except when I go in the bath! Also the picture makes it look grubby for some reason?).

I was rather spoilt this Christmas, I was insanely excited when I opened this Alien by Thierry Mugler gift set! The body lotion is divine!
I also got a few bath bombs/sets and the other typical presents... But the main thing that made this Christmas particularly special is that...

My lovely boyfriend is now my fiance!

I'm gonna keep this post short and sweet because I'm pretty poorly at the moment :(
but as always, thanks for reading!
